OTHER RANDOM HYPERFIXATIONS

I love music of almost every flavor – 80’s goth, ambient, global, electronic… anything that’s interesting, that moves me, or makes me want to dance.

I’m a diehard book nerd, and I enjoy everything from eastern philosophy to literary fiction to good ol’ science fiction. Favorite authors include everyone from John C. Lilly, Colin Wilson, and Pema Chödrön to Alastair Reynolds, Neal Asher, and Becky Chambers. Do I read too much? Probably. Do I plan to stop? Oh hell no.

When I’m not herding cats with my partner, I like to unwind with offbeat shows like Mystery Science Theater 3000, which probably explains a lot about me. I’ve also been known to mess around with a guitar or some African or Turkish hand percussion – but I do not sing, and I promise you the world is better for that.

What are your hyperfixations? How do they ground you, and how do they help you see the world? I’d love the opportunity to learn.
