Telehealth Services

All counseling services provided to Nevada residents through Pattern Shift Counseling are delivered via secure telehealth technology.

Telehealth involves the use of electronic communication systems that allow counseling services to occur when the client and counselor are in different physical locations. Telehealth services may involve certain limitations or risks, including technology interruptions or limitations in observing nonverbal communication.

Clients may withdraw consent for telehealth services at any time.


Confidentiality

Information shared during counseling sessions is generally confidential and protected by applicable privacy laws and professional ethics.

Confidentiality may be limited in certain circumstances, including situations involving risk of serious harm, suspected abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable person, or when disclosure is required by law or court order.

Veterans Services Information

Nevada law requires mental health professionals to ask new adult clients whether they have served in the United States Armed Forces. If a client identifies as a veteran, information about services available through the Nevada Department of Veterans Services may be provided.
