Who I Help

I work primarily with thoughtful, analytical, and intellectually curious adults. Many are highly capable people who struggle with persistent overthinking, anxiety, burnout, or patterns they understand intellectually but can't seem to change.

A significant part of my practice focuses on neurodivergence, including ADHD, autism, and AuDHD. Some clients arrive with established diagnoses. Others are just beginning to explore whether differences in how they think, process information, or navigate the world might explain longstanding difficulties.

My Approach

My style is collaborative, direct, and engaged. I draw from several therapeutic approaches rather than applying the same model to every client. Treatment is grounded in evidence, adapted to individual needs, and guided by the client's own goals and values.

My primary approaches include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), cognitive and behavioral interventions adapted for neurodivergent clients, and Brainspotting. I also incorporate practical strategies, experiential work, and compassion focused interventions when appropriate.

When we work on changing patterns of thinking or behavior, the goal isn't necessarily to become more productive or appear more typical. I'm interested in what actually improves a person's life, including greater flexibility, autonomy, and the ability to function without constantly exhausting themselves in the process.

What I Don't Provide

My practice does not offer medication management, psychological or neuropsychological testing, formal ADHD or autism diagnostic assessments at present, disability or FMLA evaluations and documentation, emotional support animal letters, fitness for duty assessments, forensic evaluations, expert testimony, or crisis stabilization.

For Referring Professionals

Pattern Shift Counseling, PLLC provides virtual individual outpatient therapy for adults. I'm licensed in Texas, Oregon, Washington, and Nevada, and registered to provide telehealth services in Florida. The practice is private pay.

I welcome referrals from other clinicians, particularly when a client may benefit from an analytical, collaborative approach that accommodates individual cognitive differences.

I pursue ongoing training in neurodivergence, trauma, neurobiology, and related areas of clinical practice. I'm particularly interested in research that challenges established assumptions about how people think, adapt, and change.

I also enjoy connecting with other clinicians. If you'd like to discuss referrals or exchange clinical observations, feel free to reach out.
